“GOOD JUJU”
Exploring the Feminine Roots of Power, Afro-Cosmological Queerness & Ancient-Future Oracular Technologies

A four session Afrocentric teach-in series and wisdom archive, for world-builders divesting from colonial capture.
Good Juju is an invitation to conjure, to gallivant along the wilds beyond the colonial-capitalist fences, to claim a spiritual restorying for breaking colonial spells. This is a rebellious pilgrimage of rediscovery and reclamation of the often vilified feminine mysteries of the divine mothers. A multidimensional sojourn, as a de-vilification practice of our spiritual-arts. Reclaiming our indigenous Earth-technologies for prophecy and resistance on route.
Together we will traverse beyond the outer edges of Ilê Ayê our terrestrial domain, journeying through the cosmic womb, the doorways of existence to meet the primordial self-fertilising architects of creation our ancient divine mothers, the Iyami Osoranga to inquire into their Àjé (spiritual/metaphysical powers).
Weaving narratives from Yoruba Land to Mali and Ancient Kemet to the depths of our planets oceans, to restory the androgynous, gender-bending guardians of humanity as a dispelling of Eurocentric Manichean limitations.
"Good Juju" is a counter hegemonic experiment in spiritual activism and cultural memory activation in support of the collective recuperation of our vital reconnection to lineage, history, place, people and the more-than-human world. The program expands the entire African continent in search of ancestral women's traditions covering East African Mysteries and West African Mysteries.
This four module teach in series will be a mix of hybrid lecture, storytelling and experiential practise and is accompanied by a wisdom archive/ liberation library for deeper self-directed explorations into narratives and themes covered in the syllabus.

SYLLABUS
SESSION ONE: Cosmic Mothers: Restorying ancient the divine architects of creation, owners of àjé, arbiters of Justice and Guardians of society. We will explore the suppressed narratives of our ancient primordial mothers, the prophetess priestesses, matriarchs and radical revolutionaries of our past. This offering is a reweaving of herstory as a ritual of resistance, reclaiming and reimagining our collective identities. An intimate exploration of the deep feminine roots of power, intuition, prophecy and creation.
SESSION TWO: Afro-cosmological queerness: Black Mythologies as queer gender-blending manifesto’s of multiplicity for subverting post-colonial ideations of binary logic. This will invite participants on a transatlantic adventure to enquire into the manifestations of Voodoo and Ifa within the diaspora. Delving deep to illuminate lesser known myths/deities shroud by Christian supremacy, this session will theorise Afro-spirituality as a place of safety for queer and neuro-divergent people looking to free themselves from patriarchal and capitalist conditioning.
SESSION THREE: The Oracles Vision: Decolonising Intuition, Accessing Metaphysical-data archives Via Earth-Tech Rituals.
We are constellations of metaphorical antennas, conduits for divine downloads and beneficiaries of an archive of ancestral wisdom. This session will explore the concept of intuition, intentional dreamwork & Afro-futurisim as an ancestral, psycho-spiritual & biological force. Illuminating the colonial war on imagination. We will theorise how ancestral-indigenous concepts of space-time might enable us to embrace memory not as static but as a living archive of planetary and cosmic wisdom.
SESSION FOUR: Alchemical Oracle Cartography WORKSHOP: Creating a visual ancestral archive and navigation tool for soul remembrance. We will exercise our intuitive muscles through guided a meditation to retrieve ancestral memories and cosmic insights. Participants will create individual digital maps/collages as archives of living memory. Reflecting and sharing our experience amongst community.

“Working with àjê is magic. It is the earth magic; this is not mind freak magic. It is understanding herbs and energy and planet alignments and your own power and the power of breath and spoken word.”
— Dr Annette Williams, Professor CIIS
Africana female narratives of power through antiquity into the present day have been systemically supressed and erased by forces of imperialist patriarchal domination. The calculated predatory strategy of enforced western assimilation and indoctrination during the colonial era has resulted in a cultural amnesia many of the diaspora and natives are afflicted by today.
Feminine identities have been obscured from our social and mythological histories, a tactical suppression of feminine narratives that contradict Manichean (binary logic) perspectives have been dismissed, often demonised, devalued and discredited, feminine stories have been distorted and re-written to uphold a euro-centric hierarchal, patriarchal perspective. This has resulted in the many falsehoods pervading dominate pan-African culture and the disrespect and violation of the feminine principle. The denial and suppression of the roots of feminine power within contemporary cultural and afro-spiritual discourse has lead to a distortion of our perceptions of gender, sexuality and matriarchal systems.
Simultaneously resulting in an undermining, devaluing and “pseudo-fication” of supernatural (psi) ability, prophecy and denial of our inherent magical ancestral gifts.
This is a deliberate tactic of domination that continues to be perpetuated today to disconnect Africana women and people from their divinity, self-agency and spiritual power.
“a phallic, “male-dominated” rejection of anything that is “other,” and demonization of the darkness. Modernity “sets the stage for a massive repression and devaluation of the “dark side” of psychic life. It creates a totality that rejects interruption and refuses the other from within its narcissistic enclosure.”
— Bayo Akomolafe, philosopher, psychologist, professor, & poet
