Resistance is Ecological Physical, Spiritual & Collective
Ya'll these times are calling for the embodiment of our spirituality as resistance & activism. A reminder here that divine mothers (Iyàmi Àjé) are disciplinarians, fuck with them & you will find out... We’re currently finding out, fo sho!
Oya (fire, tornados, death, change -Yoruba), Sehkmet (war, disease, hot winds - Kemet), Kali Ma (War, death-rebirth, protection, Hindu), Pele (volcanoes, transformation, Hawaii) are some of the Iyámi ( primordial cosmic forces known as the ‘dark feminine’) sweeping across the planet. We are literally experiencing evidence of this via the onslaught of wildfires, hurricanes, floods, volcano eruptions & wars wreaking havoc on our planet and its people.
The Mothers (Iyàmi) are the primordial architects of creation, the metaphysical intelligence that shapes our reality, they are the fabric of dark matter, the sentient fascia that shapes our universe, gatekeepers of the astral and our earthly terrestrial realm.
As harbingers of balance and justice, they work to maintain harmony and social order. They have the authority to tame, heal, protect or strike and destroy as necessary, enacting cosmic causation to invoke retributive justice on those that disrupt, violate and disrespect the natural order.
What we're witnessing are the contraction symptoms for the new world we are being called to birth forward. These times are a portal, the birth canal we're being guided to walk through, but we can't take our internalised colonial-patriarchal-capitalist-individualist indoctrinated values with us. Honouring the house of the mothers (human & planetary stewardship) requires shedding, embodiment and reclamation.

We are being called to root into community, to embrace and practise politicised healing, to reconnect with and reclaim our pre-colonial ancestral spiritual wisdom, to decolonise our minds by harnessing/strengthening our intuitive faculties by embracing “other ways of knowing” through land/nature connection, pan-indigenous philosophy, science & knowledge systems.
As we dismantle and compost Empire, we must simultaneously build holistic, regenerative, anti-capitalist, strategies for living, collaborating and building. The future is our co-creation, it will be rooted in collectivism as we awaken to the acute interconnectedness of all things. The state of the world is a reflection of our collective shadow, its time to integrate all we have been witnessing. These times require we call back our collective power, we must resist not just physically, but spiritually and collectively.
Lets not forget that indigenous spiritual traditions/practise have historically always been deeply intertwined with resistance and revolt with colonial powers.
The spirituality of our ancestors is inherently political as it historically served as a force to unify, mobilize and challenge oppressive systems.
Spiritual resistance looks like building solidarity economies through the practise of collective, community care & mutual aid, boycotting, unionising, creating strategies for trade and reciprocal service.
Lets begin by centring an alternative humanist vision of 'power-with' rather than power-over, we thrive in collaboration not competition!

The collective spirits of our ancestors are urging us to reclaim our self/collective- agency, autonomy, sovereignty and determination. We urgently need to reframing our narratives on what is happening across the West. Much of the chaos we are observing outwardly is due to our lack of embracing these values. We must reject, resist and refuse all oppressive systems and commit to doing the work of re-schooling ourselves on what radical resistance looks like through physical, spiritual, collective practise. Our ancestral spiritual philosophies are a blue print for a radical reframe of revolutionary politics. Its time.
